The problem stems from the difficulty of the child to quickly find the right words to express the concepts that overlap in his mind and wants to communicate, the difficulty lies in the fact that the speed with which his thoughts run is much higher than its ability to express them in words. This difficulty arises, too, for the birth of a sibling, for problems between parents, separations or bereavement in the family.
This phenomenon, which falls under the category of primary stuttering (apparent and transient, characterized by physiological and normal disfluencies, intermittent hesitations, repetitions, syllabic), tends to resolve spontaneously (usually in a few months), in fact, the language disorder of 3-5 years is very different from what occurs in school age (where it should intervene with a competent professional help with speech therapy in stuttering), and yet different from that of 'adulthood.
Parents are never prepared for this event because it begins suddenly, but you can definitely follow these guidelines:
- do not stop the small talk and asked him to repeat what I said incorrectly to avoid embarrass him;
- not replace the child in completing the sentence or word
- do not tell him to calm down the anxiety increases
otherwise - do not lose patience and do not scold him for errors because he is not guilty
- not fun as this show also would not be an incentive for the child to correct
In essence, then, armed with "holy patience," listen to the child forward without any negative emotion of discomfort and / or discomfort, articulate words well when addressing the child so that, listening to the sound of words, I can repeat correcting itself.
Exclusively with school age you can 'take, if the noise persists, consider referral to a speech therapist. In fact, before school age, can be reduced to a very common phenomenon, especially in boys (affects 3% of children, particularly males).

Internet ... that fear!
often among adults, and even more often among parents, raises a cry of terror reminiscent of the big bad wolf about what the Internet can be.
Internet is not just a network, but is the square of our global experience and is present in our society for some time now and pretend that there does not help, indeed it is certainly useful to know in order to give guidance to their children or students about the dangers "potential "that can hide in it. For some time, in school programs and intentions of the Italian Ministry of Education, there is the ear and the mind tends towards ICT and everything it entails. We speak of ICT, ie Information and Communication Technology because of what we talk about where we live and what we are today.
A child today is so immersed in technology that may be absurd, as well as negative educational impact, try to avoid the Internet.
An example of technology? More ....
by DVD players, often from an early age trying to maneuver, to the phone to mum and dad, our children see us use debit and credit cards, tap your fingers on a keyboard, since the first months of life, " today's kids are digital natives (1) "that is born prematurely immersed in technology and develop expertise and familiarity with them, much more than we adults (some digital immigrants (1))
This does not mean that there are dangers on the Net ... but I exist as to the road as in daily life and perhaps a lot less than what the reality shows and live ... I born in the era of television, and even then shouted to the danger that it could result in the growth and development of the individual ... the greatest danger today is that technologies are often used as "nannies" for our children ... A computer, a television, a cell phone, are the result of human evolution, hide dangers, but infinite possibilities for growth ... the adult is trying to integrate in the formation of all being in the making ... We assume that television is not only garbage, the Internet is not just pedophilia ... .. We learn that in virtual reality mixes the true reality and that the fact of being online gives us no guarantees as to who is on the other hand, it is therefore important to develop the critical use.
Establish rules such as:
- sites where it is better not to go (to install software filters on sites that put off limits),
- the computer does not belong in children's bedrooms but in a place of free access for the whole family,
- time to spend on the PC,
- how many and which social activities are being outdoors and not on the computer
- develop other interests because sometimes you lose the incentive or obligation to stay in the house that leads young people to focus on TV, chat, internet etc..
roll up our sleeves .... We begin to visit sites for adults and parents who want to learn what is the Internet, how to defend themselves and how to use, once assumed some basic knowledge, useful and evaluate sites suitable for our children or our students.
