A day in Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica
I started as a volunteer in Costa Rica participating in the education project in schools. In practice I taught English to children in school Cocles which is located in Puerto Viejo. The school has 6 classes, one through six, for a total of 150 children. Tion was doing every day in all classes, sometimes alone sometimes concomitantly with Mauro (one of the coordinators) and a volunteer American Carly.
One of our typical days was held with the school starting at 8.30. Each lesson takes about 40 minutes + 15 minutes of recreation. A stay at school to eat lunch with children and other volunteers glia. Then he resumed the lessons until 15 and then all at home.
The house is just 5 minutes from the school and for me it was very fast and convenient navigation. Less than 100m to the sea and took advantage of the afternoon to relax and take the last hour of light. Very often I would go with the beautiful girls at home or some kids in school.
I used to pass the evening with the family, was regarded by all as a home. I was in good company of Idalia and others. I was fine, and every night I learned more and more to understand my new life.
