obesity: obesity intervention
The project includes:
A) dietary treatment;
B) Increase physical activity;
C) Behavior therapy.
(drug therapy should be considered only in cases with a BMI> 30 or> 27 + risk factors, once the non-pharmacological intervention has failed).
The objectives are:
- Preventing further weight gain;
- Reduce the weight
- maintain weight loss.
E 'optimal weight loss of 10% of initial weight in six months.
After six months you can start the maintenance phase, otherwise you may get the weight loss. If you need further loss, you can try again later, adjusting the treatment.
